Fair Timber: bringing the Fair Trade movement experience into FSC marketing ethos
Fair Trade and FSC: shared values and common principles for granted success
20 years of work around Fair Trade and 5 years experience of commercial success with forest producers in Guatemala and Spain within Fair Timber platform are driving our steps closer to the FSC community: involvement of Leroy Merlin Spain, home-improvement leading retailer, several prizes and acknowledgements, awareness campaigns in stores and public events, being the first Spanish member to gain registration by World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) as Guaranteed Fair Trade Organization and the use WFTO Product Label on our timber products.
We envision a fruitful partnership and collaboration with FSC International at a global scale in order to explore new markets for forest communities of both North and South in collaboration with large companies and FSC national offices.
We will present or case in Vancouver GA FSC in a Side Meeting on October 9th at 08:00 AM in the Stainley Park Ballroom (SPB 1).
